You will discover how animals prepare for winter and you will be able to help them stay warm and ready to face the cold.
Here’s what awaits you.
Challenge 1:
Feeding the animals
Did you know that animals need to eat much more in winter to keep warm? You can be their heroes! During the guided tour, you will have the opportunity to feed them and help them prepare for the cold.
Also, if you want, you can bring them food from home.
Challenge 2:
A perfect shelter
Animals need a safe place to spend the winter. With a little imagination, you can build a shelter where animals can be protected from the cold, snow and wind. Can you create a warm and resistant shelter?
Challenge 3:
The winter storage
Jays are very intelligent birds that hide their food in secret places so that other animals cannot find it. They are also called the «gardeners of the forest» because they help new trees grow.
In this challenge, you will learn how they do it and, hopefully, you will plant your first tree together as a family!
Challenge 4:
Change of diet
Do you know what animals like to eat in summer and what they need in winter? This challenge will test your animal wisdom.
Become a true expert in wild flavors!
Winter coats
You will discover how animals change their fur for the winter. You will be able to try on our special coats, which imitate those of the animals, and feel how they keep warm when the cold weather arrives.
You will be surprised how well prepared they are!

But this is not all! On December 2nd we will raffle a great prize: a husky sledding trip, organized by our friends of Cau de Llops in Tuixent.

Practical information
Price
To participate in the Heroes of Winter activity it is necessary to reserve tickets for the guided tour. There is no additional cost.
Recommended age
The activity is for all ages, although the youngest children will need the help of their parents.
Duration
The guided tour lasts 1 hour, and we recommend dedicating another hour to complete the three challenges and participate in the raffle. Of course, you can combine other activities with the guided tour and spend more time with us!
Availability
The Heroes of Winter activity will be available from November 4th, 2024 through December 1st, 2024.
